The 11th annual Battle of the Badges Charity Basketball Game between Clermont Police Department and Lake County Sheriff's Office. Entry into the game is one unwrapped toy. All the toys will be donated Christian Men in Action for the annual Christmas Eve Party for less fortunate children in the community. Come out and cheer on your local law enforcement.

Christian Men in Action sponsor an annual Christmas Eve Party to give toys to less fortunate children. Most of years the toys for the party are donated by Clermont Police Department. This year will mark the fourth year of Lake County Sheriff Office and Clermont Police Department Battle of the Badges charity basketball game. Admission to the game is an unwrapped toy and all of the toys are donated to Christian Men in Action for distribution at the annual Christmas Eve Party. We invite everyone out to cheer on Clermont Police Department. In addition, Christian Men in Action receives funds from the local churches to assist with the food and toys from residents in the community.

Martin Luther King Jr. was social activist who led the Civil Rights Movement from the mid-1950s until he was assassinated in 1968 in Memphis Tennessee. Martin Luther King Jr. activism played a critical role in ending legal segregation of African-American citizens in the south. He is also responsible for the creation of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and Voting Rights Act of 1965. On this day we take time out to recognize and celebrate the work and contributions of Martin Luther King Jr. The program focus on "Keeping the Dream Alive by educating youths.

Christian Men in Action and Clermont Police Department will team up to host a Back to School Bash for Clermont Youths on 7 August 2025 in McKinney Memorial Park from 11 am to 4 pm. The event will provide a day food, fun, and games in addition to free hair cuts, safety education, and face painting as summer break comes to an end and our youth prepare for the start of a new school year.
